Incorporating ICT into Mathematics
We spent the morning studying shape in mathematics where we were asked to explore the environment around us and take pictures of as many shapes as we could find. We used digital cameras and mobile phone devices
We then reported back to our classmates about what we had found.
This showed us how effective the use of ICT can be in maths, it can help children to talk about their findings and also be used as a starting point for discussion. It can often make a topic such as shape more accessible for all learners.

We then went on to consider tessellation.
- Could we create our own tessellation?
- Could we see any tessellations around us?
